Liver Cancer Treatments

Liver cancer is one of the truly frightening and deadly diseases. The reason for not having the typical symptoms, so that when the caught, the chances are severe, life expectancy is no longer.

- TACE therapy (Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization) or embolization therapy

Compared with surgery, this liver cancer treatment is only making minor injuries and recovery is also fast and very effective for small hepatocellular carcinoma.
Using angiography, TACE therapy can be used as combination therapy with other liver cancer treatments that can improve the quality of life of patients because rarely give negative effects.
- Liver cancer treatments by Liver Transplant
There are new hope for patients with chronic liver failure, such as liver cell carcinoma and liver cirrhosis. Already shrunken liver can no longer functioning, it can be replaced with a healthy liver from the donor. How, with the latest techniques in liver transplantation, which is half of liver transplant donors. Liver transplantation is the only way out for the treatment of chronic liver disease.
In America, routinely performed liver transplants, 5000 cases per year. With the latest techniques, i.e. half the liver transplant from a healthy donor, to the patient of liver cancer. Within three weeks, then half of the liver will grow back was like the original. Liver transplant cost is quite expensive, about 150 thousand to 300 thousand U.S. dollars. - Stem Cells

Or perhaps the research that increasingly encouraging stem cells can regenerate the damaged liver cells due to cirrhosis and cancer. However, cure cancer with stem cells is still in the research process. Maybe someday liver cancer treatments by stem cells will success with no pain for the patient’s liver cancer.
